The delicate softness of trees in early spring,
colorful flowers and frosty Idaho mornings are
reflected in the light filled paintings of Rehle
Higham. For Rehle, painting has been a lifelong
process of growth, challenge and excitement.
Painting is like taking a journey to a destination
never reached. Painting is a creation, a conveying
of spirit. Her oils and watercolors express the
artist’s appreciation of art, life and beauty.
Inspired in her youth by Utah artist LeConte
Stewart, Rehle later had the opportunity to study
with him at the University of Utah. As Rehle and
husband Chuck raised their seven children, she
painted and studied art with many professional
artists from the United States and abroad. Color and
beauty inspire her still lifes and landscapes. She
enjoys painting the scenic countryside of Idaho and
intermountain regions. Her oils and watercolors are
in continual transition as she strives to connect
reality with vision.
For years, Rehle has been featured in many local
galleries and regional shows and received numerous
awards. Her art is represented in many private
collections throughout the world and is shown in
galleries in Idaho, Utah and Wyoming. |
