Diane Cliff was born in Ontario, Canada in 1949.
Having a painting exhibited in the Laguna Beach Arts
Festival at the age of 12 was an early start in her
art passions. Diane is a wide range artist going
into spaces to create the “statement” or “narrative”
in an architectural and interior design capacity.
Developing art for such clients as: Snowbird Iron
Blosam Lodge where a 20’ painting was commissioned
through a selection committee. “Cliff Falls” was an
example of her design developing skills.
Diane is a contemporary artist her medium is acrylic
on canvas mainly. In many commissions she goes into
the space to create an art piece for her client’s.
Her projects have taken her to a wide range of
mediums. She has won awards in the Deseret News
Colors of the Land and been selected by the
Springville Museum of Art 2002; 2003; 2004. Diane
was commissioned by Mass Mutual Financial Group to
paint, frame and design 27 paintings for their
corporate facility. The CEO of Dell Computer
project took Diane to Florida to work with the
design team on a 62 piece project. The University
of Utah commissioned Diane to do the Scott M.
Matheson, Jr. portrait for the S. J. Quinney College
of Law in 2006. Diane Cliff is published in many
magazines. A current magazine showing her work is
the LUXE magazine of Austin, Texas.
Diane is also a master in framing breaking the
conventional framing boundaries. Her passion in
skiing brought Diane to Utah in the early 1970’s to
teach at Park West now the Canyon’s where she still
skis. Diane’s final visuals kept on canvas depict
her love for Utah and her mountain life. |
